We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates about our underwater robots and the impact they’re making on the Great Barrier Reef and beyond. Here’s what’s happening at Teleportal:
1. Successful Biomass Survey on the Great Barrier Reef
Last month, our underwater robots completed a successful biomass survey on the Great Barrier Reef, covering an impressive 16 kilometres of area. This crucial survey is part of ongoing efforts to monitor the health and biodiversity of one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems. Thanks to your support, we were able to contribute valuable data that will help preserve the reef for future generations.
2. Robots Back Online at Green Island
We’re happy to announce that our robots are back online at Green Island and available for users to operate right now! Whether you’re looking to explore the coral reefs, conduct research, or simply have an exciting virtual experience, our robots are ready for action. Jump into the experience and make the most of this opportunity!
3. Ocean Escapes Program Continues in September
Next month, we’re excited to continue our Ocean Escapes Program for Science Week, bringing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef to thousands of pediatric patients across 14 hospitals in Australia. This program allows children to control our underwater robots in real-time, offering them a unique and engaging experience during their medical treatments.
But we can’t do this without your help. We urgently need your support to keep the program going.
Please consider donating what you can afford by clicking here to make a difference. If you’re a business or organisation, you can become a sponsor for just $1000, enabling over 50 pediatric patients to experience the Great Barrier Reef from the comfort of their hospital bed. Your contribution is vital to the success of this program.
4. Upcoming Biomass Survey – Robots Temporarily Offline
Later this year, our robots will be conducting another important biomass survey, and during that time, they will be offline for a few weeks. If you’ve been planning to use your credits, we highly recommend utilising them over this next month to avoid missing out while our robots are busy with their second important mission. Don’t wait – now is the time to make the most of your Teleportal experience!
We’re incredibly grateful for your continued support and participation in these initiatives. From conducting important environmental surveys to enabling pediatric patients to explore the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, your involvement helps us achieve our mission.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many.
Thank you for being a part of Teleportal, and we look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you soon!
