Hello Teleportal Users,

We are back!

After facing numerous setbacks and challenges over the past year, we are delighted to announce that Teleportal has finally had its permit reinstated to operate its underwater robots on the Great Barrier Reef. This has been a long and difficult process, with a number of catch-22 bureaucratic hurdles and a lack of communication or compassion from the relevant authorities. However, thanks to the hard work of our team and the support of our partners at Quicksilver Group, we are very happy to announce that our underwater robot, Bob, is back online at Green Island, located 30 km east of Cairns, Australia.

We are grateful for the continued support of our community during this challenging time. Your understanding and encouragement has meant a lot to us and has helped us persevere through these difficult circumstances over this past year.

Looking ahead, we are excited to expand our fleet of underwater robots to more locations across the Great Barrier Reef and to offer even more unique and immersive educational experiences to our underwater explorers. We believe that the beauty and wonder of the reef should be accessible to all, and we are committed to making that a reality through the Teleportal Education Program.

Thank you for your support and for joining us on this journey. We can’t wait to see what incredible adventures lie ahead.

It is great to be back!

Happy Diving 🙂

Teleportal Team
